Job Description

This individual will be responsible for assisting the Safety Manager. This role will be responsible for processing applications and handling / reviewing driver logs. In addition, the Safety Compliance Coordinator will manage the comprehensive motor carrier safety program in accordance with company policies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Additionally, this individual will ensure the safety of drivers and confirm that CVOR/DOT compliances are met.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate priorities for all safety and compliance functions company wide.

· On a daily basis review and audit driver logs to ensure drivers compliance to DOT rules and regulations.

· Assist with all driver questions regarding hours of service and driver logs.

· Assist the recruitment/onboarding department with driver onboarding, including driver orientation, review and audit of driver qualification files, and setup of new drivers in applicable systems.

· Perform all driver educational functions including: Corrective education for drivers with violations/safety issues; Based on safety data and trends, lead company-wide driver education & communication for any policy updates, reminders, and issues.

· Perform regular audits of driver qualification files to ensure compliance with FMCSR and DOT regulations.

· Coordinate compliance activities for any DOT or safety audits.

· Professionally communicate and coordinate with all other company departments, including Recruitment, Maintenance, and Operations to ensure all drivers are operating within all applicable rules, regulations, policies & procedures.

· Regularly monitor safety trends, including FMCSA Safety Ratings, accident/claim trends, or any other issues that impact company’s profitability or statistics.

· Understanding accident and claim reporting procedures and processes.

· Ability to file in a timely manner all truck registrations and permits.

· Comply with all rules, regulations, and safety policies of the company.

Experience

- Previous experience in safety coordination in the transportation field preferred

- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in transportation - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Training development experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience

Expected hours: 40 per week

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

As a 310T Truck and Coach Technician, you will be performing repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks ensure that they are in safe and reliable working condition. Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, safeties and repairs on heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems

  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Use manufacturer's service manuals and technical data to repair and maintain vehicles
